Book One

Rascal, the cat, loves adventure. In fact, he lives for that. He will spend eight of his nine lives looking for adventure. He lives with a gang of other cats in a white wooden house with a big garden and a view of mountains.

Book Two

”Why Some Cats are Rascals, Book 2” – the second book of the best-selling cat adventure, altogether there will be nine books in the series to reflect all nine cat’s lives.

The second book of the series ”Why Some Cats are Rascals” begins with Rascal and his feline companions arriving at Sahara desert at the time of pharaohs – a dream place for cats, as their significance and social status rises to the one of semi-gods. However Rascal and his gang do not entirely fit the established ways of live and belief systems of the ancient Egypt, and they must run back to Catanada to escape being sacrificed at the altar of god Samuelusus.

Before they arrive back home to defend it from the gang of thieves, they first must go through medieval Europe to encounter misunderstanding, hate and witch hunt in all possible shapes and forms.

Rascal and his gang are being guided by the Prehistoric Cat Samuel and his never-ending wisdom. Samuel teaches them how to use the power of purring and love against all evil forces of the world.

The strongest point of the captivating stories of Rascal is their educational value. The author, Boszenna Nowiki, does a great job in educating children about history, geography, zoology, survival skills, and such positive moral values as friendship, loyalty, love, and trust, while at the same time filling her stories with fast action, magic and adventure, with many unexpected twists and turns. Book Three - Wild Wild West

Rascal was sitting on the windowsill, looking sadly out the window. Grandma Calico was gone. She had gone to the other side of the rainbow where all cats go when their time in this life has come to an end. Rascal began writing in his diary. He knew that Grandma was happy and free from the disease. Philosopher was reading a book. Lumby did not understand the situation but he could feel the sadness of all the other cats. He was lying near the window, observing a fly on the window taking an autumn sun bath. Sofia was crying in the corner of the room; Dandy was comforting Snow. Bunny was sad too, knowing that he would never again hear all those interesting stories about the old times that Grandma Calico used to tell them.
Philosopher closed his book and made his way over to Rascal. “It might be a good idea for us to take a little walk outside. Help us to get our minds off of our sadness. What do you think, brother?”
“I think that's a very good idea, Philosopher. Sofia is not handling Grandma Calico's absence well at all. I think a little adventure might be a good thing today.”

Book Four

When the cats are home alone, thieves attempt to rob a house in the neighborhood. But these are not ordinary thieves – they are the wives of the thieves from Book 2. How can the cats defend the house? Then their adventure takes them to the Internet, where a Prehistoric Mouse, called Trambambu plans to transform every cat into a rat. And unfortunately she has found a way to do this. Landing in Ratanada where Trambambu rules the land, Rascal and his friends face dragons, saber-toothed cats from the past and other historic creatures. Can Rascal save his friends from the Prehistoric Mouse? Can all of them return to their home in Catanada?

Book Five

Looking for inspiration, Rascal and his friends stroll near a creek where they befriend some mysterious talking stones. The stones tell the cats magical stories with good lessons. But the cats' quest to Antarctica to learn all about snowflakes nearly costs them their lives in the castle of the Queen of Winter. When the jealous Prehistoric mouse, Trambambu steals the talking stones and hides them in the Arctic, Rascal and his friends must master five unruly sled-dogs and unexpected mischief as they set off to recover the stones.

Book Six

Dandy, the cat, has a talkative stone which tells about buried pirate treasure from long ago. But others want that treasure too - 3 black cats, 1 white rabbit and a big sea turtle. The evil crew break into the house and kidnap Rascal and his friends. Will they survive the sea adventure to Cat Island to search for the ancient treasure? What will they learn about themselves and friendship on the way?
